"The X-Files" is perhaps the best show on television. Of course that's just my humble opinion :) It centers around 2 FBI agents, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully (played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson), who investigate cases involving unexplainable events. They have encountered everything from liver eating, century old, mutant serial killers named Eugene Tooms (Doug Hutchison), to evil genetically engineered children, to UFOs and government coverups. Along they way, they have been both helped and hindered by those that they work for and with: Assistant Director Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), The Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis), Alex Krycek (Nicholas Lea), Deep Throat (Jerry Hardin), and X (Steven Williams). It seems Mulder and Scully can never tell just who is on their side.

One of the reasons I like is show is because it makes you think. The people on the show aren't just going around sleeping with each other and trying not to get caught. The relationship between Mulder and Scully is one of respect, trust, and equality. UST and GTM are scattered throughout as well. For those of you who are YAXA (Yet Another X-Files Acronym) impaired, UST stands for Unresoved Sexual Tension (and I hope it stays that way) and GTM stands for Gratuitous Tactile Moments.

Another reason I like the show is for the people. I have met and am friends with several of the people who work on the show. They are great people who are very friendly. I have been lucky enough to have spent time with Mitch Pileggi, Nicholas Lea, Doug Hutchison, as well as knowing Chris Carter and Mary Astadourian (click on the links to get more info about my contact with these people - some links might not be active yet) .
